Razzle Dazzle

December 9th in 1984 was one of the sad days of rock n' roll history. Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley, known as drum player of Hanoi Rocks, died in car crash in Lost Angeles, when he went to buy more booze with Vince Neil to Vince's house party. Both were drunk, the speed was over 100km/h in the area of 40km/h. They curved to the wrong side of the road, and there was car coming towards them. They were so close of Vince's home, and people from the party ran to see what had happened. They found Vince Neil crying hysterically with beer bottle in his hand and Razzle lying next to him, repeating "everything is alright, everything is alright.." Razzle was taken to hospital, were was told that he was dead.
Andy McCoy, who was in the party, called to Seppo Vesterinen, who called to others and told terrible news. Shock was biggest for Nasty Suicide, whose best friend Razzle had been. Razzle was also close with Michael and Andy, even though those two had fights almost all the time. Razzle was friend with everybody, like glue which held the band together. Bob Ezrin has said: " Razzle was the sweetest person of Hanoi Rocks. I can never forgive Vince Neil that he was driving the car. "

Razzle got mad with Deep Purple's singer once in the bar, 'cause guy had "taken his girl". So Razzle set the singers hair on fire. Sweet sweet revenge.
Razzle was buried to graveyard of Holy Trinity Cruch in Binstead, Isle of Wight. The lawyers in Los Angeles told to Michael and Andy about the chance to get money that they lost when they couldn't have a tour or make new albums, if they call Mötley Crüe to court. Andy didn't want to, 'cause he couldn't think his firend as money. Or could you say how much does your family cost?

Razzle had said, that he wanted to die like James Dean. Famous actor, who became a legend when he died in car crash in 1955, when he was only 24 years old. Razzle had had his 24th birthday just week before the accident.
You should be careful with what you wish, 'cause sometimes your wishes can really come true.

Hanoi Rocks played in Europe a Go Go concert on 4th of January 1985, just three weeks after Razzle's death, and deticated "Million Miles Away" to Razzle. In that time Europe a Go Go  was the biggest music perform in TV, and about 300 million people saw the show. In loving memory of Razzle.
