Holidays in the sun

I'm on holiday now, and sun is shining. For the first time. Not bad.

"När jag blundar" is the songname I've heard about million times in two days, some people talked bad about it, some people thought it's alright. Yep, we have a girl who'll sing a swedish song in Eurovision song contest. And now people's freaking out for that; "why we gotta send there some gay song?" or " swedish sucks" are the most written comments of the song. Now I'm begging you, stop it please. The song is alright, actually for me it's cute, and so much better than Stig or some other idiot. Use your brain, people! Ya wanted to send Stig there to embarrass us in front of all Europe? Yeah, why not, if Finland really has sinked that deep already.

By the way, the miracle has happened. I was shopping, but I didn't buy any album. Not even one. I just couldn't find anything good from TopTen, or I did find few "alright" CD's, but all of them were to expensive.

Instead of buying CD's I bought something I really needed, new jacket. Red fake leather jacket from Rockjet only 49€.. fake leather jackets ain't no cheap anywhere else either, in Seppälä they cost even over 70€.. who wants to buy 'em?!

Hey fellows, have heard the news.. Sex Pistols is making a comeback tour and maybe a new album? At least the band has made a new album deal, which could mean they're making up something... I can't wait for hearing about that more!

Record Fairs Part 2

Record Fairs. Weird but interesting meeting of old school music diggers around the province. The place full of middle aged men, few ladys, no people under 30 years old. Only few guys with Sex Pistols leather jackets and me and the Fish. But it was allright, kinda fun day anyway.
And now I've learned everything I need to know about Kauhajoki.

And, I picked something on my way, of course:

Sandinista! by The Clash, only 9€, on a good mood, no scratches or any other problems
Live for today/Opening nightmares single by The Lords of the New Church, 12€, used and you can hear it but it's able to listen to.. (:

CDs, both 6 €
Give 'em Enough Rope by The Clash
GN'R Lies by Guns N' Roses

I can't understand why I'm so "lately woken" with GN'R.. damn, I've got Appetite for Destruction for 5 years, and I've always forgot to by other albums from the band too.. Now I've got them all, at last. No, fuck Chinese Democracy. Is it even worth buying?

I'm on the Clash mood too, again. I've loved the Clash since I heard London Calling for the first time. It has really infuenced to music taste, as the most of Clash fans say, the band left the mark. As a punk band, the Clash has been different, radical but clever. And I love Joe Strummer, even though first year I listened to the Clash I didn't get the word of song lyrics, thanks to his sweet accents :3
It wasn't sarcasm, the accent is cute, but just hard to understand. And it's not Joe's fault.

First Dio album of mine; Sacred heart. It cost only 5 € (the seller put it on sale for me ) :3
It includes Rock N' Roll children, that's why it's the must-buy album. And Ronnie's voice is.. amazing.

Hanoi Rocks: All those wasted years, douple LP. IT includes cover of Alice Cooper song "Under my Wheels", that's why the Fish made me buy it. Usually I'm a collection hater, obviously not anymore. And All those waed years includes other nice covers too, like Lightning Bar Blues.

And. Now. Something very special. I found Voice of America by Little Steven from there. And the price was 2€! Two fucking euros!! The album cover was quite dirty and broken which made me think that the album itself gotta be in bad mood. But no; I listened it today. Firts side was totally clear, second little more scratchy but not that much that it would have been annoying. Not at all. It was fine. It was Little Steven's Voice of America (=legend from the 80's, not possible to buy anymore from anywhere) and it cost fucking 2 euros! I'm freaking out, my weekend was musically wonderful <3

Fucking great. I love Record Fairs. Next year again, pleaze.

Motor City is burning.. down.

First of all, R.I.P Michael Davis! (He was the guitarist of american protopunk band MC5.) I read today Dregen's facebook, and I found out that Michael Davis had died at age of 68, on 17th of February. Kick out the Jams on the other side!

Then, click this: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/black-sabbath-reunion-plans-reworked-20120217 I got shocked. They're not coming. I can't see them. And all the other people in Europe or UK or America can't see them either. I'm just wondering if Tony Iommi's cancer really is that bad that they had to cancel all the tourdates. I wish Tony'll get well soon. And when we know wat happened to Ronnie James Dio... I can't even imagine. So, thumbs up for Tony!

But now something happier; I got my birthday present from parents, and I was shopping yesterday, so I've got few (?) new albums:

Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers album L.A.M.F. as LP from TopTen, only 10 €
Guns N' Roses: Speghetti Incident? from MiniMani, as crazy as it sounds, but I saw it there, so I bought it. As I saw once All Those Wasted Years by Hanoi Rocks on some gas station, was it Neste Oil..? Anyway, you gotta believe me with these. You CAN find cood albums with low price from grocery stores, gas stations, supermarkets etc. And even you'd feel stupid at first, you really start to smile when you see there Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses or Rolling Stones in the middle of Finnish so called music. Who's then da winner?
MY parents bought me birthday present: So Alone by Johnny Thunders, Killer Lords (collection) by the Lords of the New Church and Disconnected by Stiv Bators ♥
Disconnected is amazing album, I love it. Stiv Bators had told that he really cares of lyrics of the songs, and that you can really hear. Words are not just empty shit like in many songs, they've really got the point. That the album I'm never ever gonna give up to anyone :3
And look what I got from my Fish!♥
Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin! The only one of Zeppelin albums that has never come on sale, and it's been taken only one new copy. It's one of the saddest albums I've ever heard, 'cause it sound like collection. Without a feeling played.. something. I don't know. It includes many beautiful songs, but they're raping teir own stuff, 'cause they play so unpassionedly as anyone can. And lazy. Like the band would be forced to studio. That's sad. But it's still a good album, 'cause in the middle of that shit there's still some fire... Or is it only Robert's voice?

Anyway, I was today at Record Fairs in Kauhajoki. The people got good music taste there! I'll put some pics of my findings when I have more time to write.. (:

Birthday wishes with fake blood

I jammed electric & acoustic guitars with my friend one day. For hours. That was fun, we played CCR, Nirvana, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. Alright, Smoke On The Water. I don't even now any other song by Deep Purple, sorry. I should find out, I know.

It's nice to be born on 7th of February:
Fabruary 4th is birthday of Alice Cooper, February 5th is birthday of Duff McKagan, February 6th is birthday of Axl Rose, 7th is mine, and February 8th is birthday of James Dean.
I can imagine taht I'm part of something great. Or I'm a part of a great line. Actually, I'm jeallous to my friend who was born on 5th of February.

The quiz: Who doesn't belong to the group?

Oh yeah, I bought birthday present for myself, of course :3 I bought it, packed it to present box and then pretended that I've got no idea what the box includes. Then I opened it and I was surprised..
Well not really, my habits are not that psychotic..

My birthday present: Young, loud and snotty by Dead Boys. ♥

You should have listened to number 2

In case you want to know what strong blues sounds like, how heavy was created in the end of 60's, and how Jimmy Page really can play guitar (unlike todays metal guitarists).. you gotta listen to Led Zeppelin album " II".

And in case you want to have a good presidnet for Finaland, you should vote number 2 today in presidental elections. How people say Haavisto isn't better than Niinistö? Haavisto has worked years for UN internationally, and Finnihs people think he can't be president 'cause he is gay. Now we would have a chance to show that Finland really is permissive country... It's no fun to be ashamed of own home country, even though I've got used to it. Finns are hicks, you can't change that.

Live for today

Now I'm getting my punk vibes back.

I've found new favorite band, or actually two, I guess. I'm freakin out about these: Lords of the New Church (!!) and Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers. The best 80's postpunk ever. I listened few songs last autumn and now I remembered that the Lords was good, I should hear more. And here I'm on my way again...
I've listened to Johnny Thunders more before, but now the Lords really... I just love 'em. Their music is weird, odd and creepy, fucking perfect for me. And I love Stiv Bators. Johnny is more original punk rocker, in case I can say so. I love him too, so much.
