Genre by Genre #6

First, thanx of telling that blog's font sucks! Sorry for that, I just liked it myself. But maybe it was anyway time for change, I haven't changed anything for damn long time.. XD

I thought that it would also be time for write about music.. now, I could write about pop.

Well yeah, it's maybe hard to believe that listen to some freakin NRJ, but  sometimes it's funny to know what songs are most popular next month.. Ya know, especially in pop genre nowadays, one song is a hit for.. about few weeks, then it's out and next song comes on sell. All is about business, not about music. And, you can eeasily hear, that same dude has made songs for Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ke$ha and Lady Gaga. Seriously, they don't write songs themselves. I think it's sad, 'cause now young people don't respect real songwriter musicians anymore.  Same is with computers. Young people know that you can easily make any sound with computer, so they don't respect for example guitar players anymore. They almost laugh, that why should someone practise 20 years to be the best guitarist, when you can make same solo with computer in half hour? I think that's crazy..

Pop has it's bad sides but there is pop music that I like. Michael Jackson was amazing dancer, he wrote all songs himself, and he was first wo mixed soul, funk and pop that well together. He made his own pop genre. Actually, I think my favorite pop music really is from 80's. Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Kate Bush... all from 80's.

In David Bowie's and Peter Gabriel's music I love the experiments.. their music was like lab, they tested everything new. Best examples are Bowie's songs like "Scary Monsters" or "Under Pressure" whitch was made with Queen. I think "Radio Gaga" by Queen really is one of the cutest pop songs ever.

And about Kate Bush.. I don't know what to write. She was found by one Pink Floyd guy, so her music is influenced by progressive rock. Anyway, she is genious. Many of her songs have been originally her poems, she just created music and melody around it. " Hounds of Love" is most pop of her albums, so I call her now pop artist, even really her music is closer to alternative. By the way, she's one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.

Classical 80's pop song by Kate Bush, "Running up that Hill (Deal with God)"

Kate Bush: Babooshka (1980)

Not so good photo.. anyway, David Bowie: Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)

Would this be played from NRJ?

Life's a piece of shit, sang Eric Idle, and he was right.

Sorry again for the break of writing, but honestly, now I've really got hands full of work or at least everything that I should have done. I've spent my time by playing piano for becoming music school's test and reading books of Mika Waltari for our Finnish lessons at normal school.

Well, I should start of that autumn is here. Damn. I can't stand storms and rainy days or wet weather any way. That makes my hair horrible and then I feel crab all day. Could I blame Jesus, if he's on charge of these weather things...?

Now I'm officially keepin art club for 7-9 years old kids. It's some church thing but it's alright, we don't talk about god there. And it's funny to spend time with little kids, and get money from it  >8)
Anyway, that will my freetime away so much, 'cause I think we have to plan more artworks there.. you know, they make everything so quickly, don't really spend time on anything too much. We have many great plans of the artworks, one is gonna be pop art Winnie the Pooh (or some disney dude anyway).. can't wait to get to explain about Andy Warhol for them.. then when they come to secondary school they already´know so much about art, thanks to me and the Fish >: D

Now about my musical.. problem? I hate clubs, where's alcohol selling without limits. That means, under 18 years old people can't go in. And that sucks. You know, on 17th of this month, Andy McCoy was playin at Rytmikorjaamo in Seinäjoki. And tickets were only 12 €! I was almost buying tickets there, but then some idiot told me that it's forbidden from minor. And I still have to wait for two and half fuckin years to get there. Or to see Andy live, he usually doesn't tour in "childrens" clubs or neither big festivals like Provinssirock. But maybe with Michael some day..? It's good to live on hope.

Now something happier; I heard that Michael Monroe has show in Lahti in Finlandia club on 4th of November!! It's allowed for minor (think!) and guess who's going there with her friend? <3 Tickets cost only 23 €, and I'm going crazy soon.. can't wait 'till November ♥ I love him I love him I love him.. And Sami Yaffa and Dregen play in Michael Monroe Band nowadays too.. ♥

Umm... what else? I was yesterday in Vaasa celebratin my friend's birthday, and I bought black "leather" pants from Gina Tricot. I usually never buy anything from there.. miracle has happened. I'll put here pictures when my camera starts to work again, I promise. Now I think I'll stop writing, and go to choose clothing for school photographing, which is tomorrow.

" I write the lyrics of the songs in pine forest, 'cause branches are... quick. "

Drowings at night?

Yeah I drew these last week.. you know, when I have the right motivation to do something, then I'll do it fucking well.. and I can't go to sleep if I start something, I have to do it 'till it's ready or I like it myself.. many drowings have flown to trash can...

Mick Jagger, I drew it few days ago.. from the computer screen it looks more bright than what it really is, but it's fine like that too I think. or I should have used darker pencil..

You know who? Failed Michael Monroe. He had originally left hand, but it failed and I cut it off. But I had already draw it 5 hours and it was about half past eleven at night so I couldn't throw it away. Thank god I didn't; it was better than I remembered..

And now that jungle-rhythm I've had obsession last two weeks about:
Listen to that rhythm and riff in the beginning, it's hypnotic. I love it, love it, love it. I love every song with jungle rhythm, like part of Guns N' Roses' Welcome to the Jungle.. actually I don't know others.. do ya?

School's out!

Hey you dears ♥ Now I can say I'm almost happy of surviving this week through.. First, I needed to start one music instrument presentation, then one music genre presentation for school and one band presentation for school. Then, I was at meeting of club leaders, we have education tomorrow all day. -.-''
I realized that I actually like drowing, 'cause I'm not that bad as a drower as I remembered...

Today, I asked for work practise place from TopTen and got it ♥ And of course, I can't leave that store without bying something...
Michael Monroe: Peace of Mind
cost only 5€, and I couldn't live my baby there alone.. ♥

And Alice Cooper T-shirt. ALICE COOPER T-SHIRT! Which cost only 10€! Think, damn!
NOW I'm seriously really happy ♥ I love Alice Cooper, I have actually liked him since I was 5 years old and Poison was played from Radio Nova.. best song that has ever come from that radio channel. He is cool! And I love his make-up and his top hats.. < 3

OK, not so long post but I think everything important came out. As you can maybe notice.. see ya.

PS. Can some of you tell me where to buy top hats?! I've tried to find one, but I can't.. I searched eBay, huuto.net etc, and I haven't found any.. so, if you can help, please comment!

Welcome to the Jungle..

Sorry sorry SORRY dear ones for the writing break! I didn't mean it, but it just got longer and longer... damn. Sorry once again. And you know, it's hard to know what to write about, when nothing is happening in your life.

So anyway, school's started. Last year, the I could say that I'm free on some level. Yeah, one year left, thank god no more. I couldn't stand it.
And I started to work as Greenpeace volunteer, translating texts from English to Finnish. And what else..? I found Fair Trade Coke from one grocery store, ain't it cool? WE were selling cakes for our Germany trip with class, I don't even know do I really wanna go to Berlin anymore. Not like that...
I haven't bought CD's for a while, which is a miracle. Or actually I have, The Clash's album "The Clash" which is packed 100% carbon neutral. I like that, why there can't be more that kind of albums sold?

I found also a real GOD of photographing, take a look: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/nsixxfoto/ You know who is he? I hope ya do.. Maybe one of my principals is that I can't ever like Mötley Crüe, but I didn't say a word of Nikki Sixx..I really love his photos and that color world... I want black and white camera too.. (or I could steal his camera) ♥

One my way to school I noticed that lovely old building.. (I think it's falling down soon..)

Two old pics of me changed to be black and white..

Did you watch Monty Python movie Meaning of Life last saturday? I did and I loved it. Monty Python guys are genious, they know how to make something crazy to look like ordinary.

Jungle music ♥
